    1. I will say that I never do answer the question of whether she makes the Travel team. The reader has to decide that on their own.

    1. I really enjoyed my two trips to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The first time I walked through the Diamond and Dreams exhibit about girls playing baseball I started tearing up, just like I had Sam do. Annie asked me why I was upset because I had never played baseball and I told her that I could imagine being Sam and having that experience. I was crying for her.

  4. This is Annie Stacy Mozer's daughter. I read her book and it was the best book I have ever read. She worked really hard and it came out amazing.

    1. That's a great question. It makes me wish I could play baseball. It's not an easy sport to play.

  7. Today you said, that you based Debbie on me. I know I was only six but, did I actually act like that?

    1. Annie, there are many scenes in the book that were taken directly out of our lives. But I always write down what you do or record it in my head so it wasn't just at 6, it was from when you were younger too.
