#IMWAYR March 26, 2018

Each week I try to join Jen from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee from Unleashing Readers to share all of the reading I've done over the week from picture books to young adult novels. A few more of the YA books I put on hold at my library came in so it was another YA week.

Young Adult

The story follows Arram Draper, along with his friends Prince Ozorne and Varice, as they move through years of school learning to be powerful magicians and good people. It's a YA book for fans of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones.

When Ivy League bound Justyce McAllyster is handcuffed for trying to help his drunk ex-girlfriend, he starts to question everything around him through letters to Martin Luther King, Jr. A powerful story that asks important questions of equality and justice. This is a must-read book for teens and adults from every background.

  1. I've been so curious about Tempests and Slaughter, so I'm glad to hear it's good for fans of HP and GOT! And Dear Martin was one of my favorite reads, this spring. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love love loved Dear Martin.
I haven't read any Tamora Pierce for quite a while, but I have loved a few of her series. Tempests and Slaughter is very popular at my library with many many holds already there. I will wait and hope they get it as an audiobook.
